Tell me what's on the menu!
I am super excited about this project...I redecorated a while ago and had some random stuff that I didn't need anymore in its current state, but I knew there was potential if I could be creative with the items. So with an ugly electrical box on the wall in the kitchen, a long mirror that I didn't need and some spray paint, ribbon and chalkboard paint, this is the semi-end result..
so the end result ended up in the trash.....30 minutes after I hung the mirror, the ribbon ripped off the back and the mirror hit the ground and shattered. So at least I had a menu for about 25 minutes....
Not Your Grandma's House
This is my unique attempt at transforming "Grandma's" 1960's brick ranch from "vintage" specials including- but not limited to- the unfortunate invention of wallpaper and avocado green counter tops (matching sink included) to an updated, chic place I can call home. Not to mention other events in my life....Let the adventure begin!

Keeping Secrets...
I have been keeping a secret. Last weekend the hubby and I jumped on a plane and made a quick trip back to Kansas City! It was my Mom's birthday on Thursday, so when a sale on AirTran popped up months ago- we decided it would work (it also happened to fall on K-State Homecoming and a Chiefs home game!). So my parent's casual Friday night dinner with friends ended up being a great surprise birthday dinner for her! Love you!
Not only did we get to spend some awesome time with Mom and Dad. I got to meet my best friend's little girl and see all my sisters at our ADPi reunion.
Here is a look at the weekend.....

Celebrating 366 days and counting...
August 20, 2011- we said I do!
One leap year later... we toasted to the best year of marriage to date by visiting Northern California.
Our wedding day was perfect- down to every detail. Our honeymoon was out of this world. Our 1st anniversary trip to Wine Country and San Francisco was unbelievable.
From San Francisco, to Santa Rosa to Sonoma to Napa to Calistoga to St. Helena to Healdsberg to Russian River. Here is a look at the places we went and the sights we saw (including America's Cup!)!
Cheers to another amazing year as husband and wife!
Love you hubby! Can't wait for our next adventure!

This past weekend, the hubby, Boone and I drove the 13 hours back to Kansas for a very exciting event- my best friend's wedding! Sarah has been my best friend since our freshman year of college. She was maid of honor for my big day last August and I was so honored to be her Matron of Honor for her BIG Day this summer! Here is a look at the weekend... talk about a beautiful bride, amazing details and gorgeous color combo :) Did I mention the glowing bride and how amazing she looks with her new hubby?
